This Saturday, November 2, Trabajadores Unidos will host a civic engagement meeting at the Columbia Heights Community Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., inviting members of the Latino community and other residents to exercise their right to vote in the city.
Only proof of residency is required to vote, making it easier for more residents to have their say in important local decisions.
The growing Latino community in DC plays a key role in developing and representing their needs and priorities. Latino voter participation strengthens representation on issues that directly affect daily life, from access to healthcare and housing to education and job opportunities.
