In honor of Women's History Month, the Avalon Theater hosted a moving screening of the documentary Dolores, attended by approximately 120 DC public school students.

The film chronicles the life and activism of Dolores Huerta, a pivotal figure in the fight for labor rights and social justice. Through her story, key themes such as migration, gender equity, and the fight against injustice were explored. Additionally, the event highlighted her impact on the feminist movement and her legacy as a civil rights icon.

Following the screening, Mario Cristaldo, Executive Director of Trabajadores Unidos, offered remarks and led a Q&A session, sharing his experience defending the rights of migrant workers in the DC area.

This inspiring gathering motivated young attendees to become the next generation of advocates for social justice, immigrant rights, and equity.
